I know it's been a while since I last published a post, but what can I say, I was totally immersed in the world of figure competing!For the past three months I have been training and dieting for what would be one of the most exhilirating experiences of my life! It was just yesterday, at the Redford Theatre in Detroit, where I went on stage and competed in my very first figure competition. And not only that, but I placed 5th in my class and even got to take home a trophy!
The whole day was surreal to say the least. Arriving at the theatre, getting ready, loading up on sugary sweets before stepping on stage; it was an event to remember.
My little trophy is sitting on my kitchen table. Every time I look at it, it's a reminder of what a long way I have come. I set a goal and I stuck with it. Despite all of the ups and downs, I made a commitment and I followed through!
And to top it off, I was browsing through the local newspaper online and found this. The photo speaks for itself! :)
